Diane B. Phillips, CPS Clerk of the Council

Employed by Iberia Parish Government since May of 1980 when she was still in high school, Diane Phillips began her full-time career with the Parish’s Housing Department right after graduation. She was later assigned to clerical duties in the Secretary-Treasurer’s Office under the old Police Jury form of government. Eventually, she served as the secretary to the Iberia Parish Home Rule Charter Commission and continued to work for the Parish through its transition to the charter form of government in January, 1984. She was appointed Clerk of the Council in July, 1985 and continues in that capacity today. She is a Certified Professional Secretary and has completed the Professional Paralegal Program from Southern Career Institute. She and her husband, Darryl, live in New Iberia.
